Hamish and Gareth both recently passed their OFA Heart Certifications as well as their CERF Certifications.
We were lucky enough to attend a clinic at the AKC Wine Country Circuit Dog Show in September. That is quite
a show, we would really like to have a longer visit there sometime but we were heading off to the ISSDC Fall Specialty in
Brookville PA that day so we couldn't stay. I appreciate the time and effort the folks on the health
clinic committee put in to allow all of us to take advantage of such a great resource. And we also thank
Dr. Riis and Dr. Moise for providing their specialties to the clinic.
As for the ISSDC Fall Specialty we had a wonderful time. This is the first time I've been to the Fall show
and it was very pleasant. It is smaller than the May show, but it was also much cooler and the dogs [and I]
were very grateful for that. We again, cannot express how wonderful it is to be able to spend time with
folks who feel the same way about their dogs as we do, and understand the joys of a shiloh shepherd.

Gareth has been published.
Chris Christensen used Gareth's profile in ads for one of their new products,
Mysic Ear. Now, had you seen Gareth's ears as a puppy you'd really find humor
in this as they said he was picked for his wonderful ears. His picture graces
their website and was in the ad that ran in both the August edition of the AKC
Gazette and Groomer to Groomer magazine. The picture is slightly
skewed from the original but we're very honored nonetheless.

the Chris Systems website.

It was that time of year again, the trip to Brookville
over Memorial Day weekend to attend the ISSDC National Specialty. It's always a joy to meet new people,
see old friends and see all of the wonderful Shilohs all in one place. If you have a Shiloh Shepherd or
are looking into the breed and you can swing it, I suggest coming out to this event! It is an annual event
in one form or another!

We are saddened to share with you that Hamish received an
unfavorable OFA Hip Report. His PennHip numbers were .46/.46 with no DJD but his OFA report
showed Mild Dysplasia, unilateral left with subluxation. Fortunately there is no noticeable remodeling
at this point per PennHip and OFA. I want to thank Hamish's Grandma Trish and Great Grandma Christi [of
Ridgewood Shilohs, P&C / B&T] for being there with me.
If there were a silver lining it was we
were able to have a playdate while we were there, able to visit with Stardust Shilohs' Bismarck, Rommel and
Caly; Spring Hill Shilohs' Kitra and Zephyr; the whole B&T crew and meet Ridgewood's newest
addition, Rorrie from the Elvis/Trace litter from Sunstar Shilohs.

We're pleased to share that Hamish passed his ATTS temperament test.
Hamish took his ATTS test on March 11, 2006. The ATTS is an adult temperament test and is focused on
seeing how your dog handles and recovers from stressful situations.
ATTS is the only non-profit organization that gives the TT (Temperament Tested) title for a dog.
Failure on any part of the test is recognized when a dog shows panic, strong avoidance without
recovery or unprovoked aggression. Minimum testing age is 18 months. The Shiloh Shepherd Breed
Clubs also offer TT testing, I've seen TT tests given by both Shiloh Shepherd breed clubs, and
the ATTS and they are virtually identical.
For more information on the ATTS, visit their website.
